Soroptimist International of Quincy provides many fundraisers each year to benefit the community and specifically women and children.

The Garden Tour fundraiser has enjoyed great success since its inception four years ago.  The year 2006 will bring Soroptimists 5th Annual Garden Tour to the greater Plumas County area which for many residents is a very anticipated event.  The Tour offers a chance to view an eclectic selection of gardens and  landscapes complete with the small creatures which reside there including butterflies, frogs, fish, bees, birds and the homeowners who manage these microcosms and kindly open their homes to assist our group in this endeavor.   Without the hard work and generosity of past, present and future gardening enthusiasts this project would not exist.

Tickets purchased for this event offer many benefits:

  1. The opportunity to view beautiful gardens & landscapes in Quincy and the surrounding areas;

  2. A day long opportunity to commune with fellow gardeners and meet like minded individuals who share the positive addiction of gardening;

  3. Attend and participate in events of the day such as a pruning demonstration, a raffle for the Garden Tour basket, refreshments, snacks and more.

  4. Pre-sale tickets are $12.00 and $15.00 on the day of the event. Please check out our flyer for more information about where tickets are available or contact any Soroptimist Member.

Interested?  Check back often for more information regarding the 2006 Garden Tour including who will be participating and a schedule of the days events and activities. Or, if you would like your yard and garden on the tour, please contact Soroptimist to learn more.  We welcome all interest in being a part of this event and look forward to hearing from you.

Soroptimist International of Quincy would like to offer special thanks to Feather River Bulletin for their generous support of the Garden Tour and Soroptimist as an organization with timely, thoughtful advertising, comprehensive exposure of our events and the production of promotional materials.

Thank you also to the many area retailers who assist in the selling and managing of tickets.  Their willingness to donate time assists us greatly in reaching out and making tickets and information available to the public.
