Dues are due and payable on the first day of June, and become delinquent on June 15.  A penalty of $10.00 will be applicable after this date, no exceptions.

 

  1. Members may pay annual dues in two installments, providing payments are made in full by June 15.  This must be arranged with the treasurer in advance.

  2. New members may pay initial dues in two equal  installments: The first at time of induction and the second on the first day of the following month.

  3. New members inducted between January 1st and June 30th need to pay current regional dues, current federation dues plus a $10.00 new member fee.

  4. Life members are requested to pay $25.00 to cover expenses including SI Magazine and SOAR mailings.

  5. Dues shall be set annually at the business meeting in May (Article XXIV, C-20, Club bylaws.)

  1. Each member shall pay $32.00 per month to cover the cost of four (4) lunches, due and payable on the first meeting of the month whether the member is in attendance or not. No exceptions.

  2. In months there are five (5) Tuesday's, the membership shall determine the lunch menus and cost.

 

  1. Upon written request, the Board of Directors may grant a leave of absence, for not less than (1) month or more than six (6) months, in case of illness, family emergencies, or temporary absence from community other than vacation.

  2. Upon written request, the Board may extend such leave provided no leave of absence exceeds a total of twelve (12) consecutive months. 

  3. All dues and required assessments must be paid before a leave of absence may be granted.

  4. A member on leave is urged to attend meetings and functions of the Quincy Club or other Soroptimist Clubs.

  1. When appropriate, Outstanding Achievement Awards will be presented to members at the last meeting of the month, in addition to celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and/or SOLD programs.

  2. The Club will not meet during July and August, with the exception of the annual birthday party meeting.

  3. The Social Committee for the current year shall be in charge of this function.

  4. July and August birthdays and anniversaries will be celebrated at the Birthday Party meeting.

  5. Items of business must be submitted to the appropriate committees.

  6. The committee will present them to the Board for consideration and possible presentation to the membership.

  7. Requests for funds, other than budgeted items, must be made to the Service Committee.

  1. The Service Committee shall then require the person/s to appear before the Committee or Board.

  2. The Service Committee shall consist of the chairperson of each service committee; (1) Economic and Social Development, (2) Education, (3) Environment, (4) Health, (5) Human Rights: Status of Women, and (6) International Goodwill and Understanding.

  3. An assessment to cover rent, lunches for Club Guests, and money for the delegates' fund will be added to the Caterer's charge, and all members, other guests and prospective members must pay the full amount.

  4. The Club will pay for no more than two (2) invited guests/speakers.

  5. Anyone accompanying the speaker is responsible for paying for his/her own meal.

  6. The Soroptimist extending the invitation to the speaker is responsible for seeing that this is enforced.
